Is it down right now?

Check whether a website is down for everyone or just for you. Enter a site and Uptimely requests it now from outside your network, then tells you whether it answered, with which HTTP status, how fast, and whether its HTTPS certificate is valid. No account needed.

A domain or a pasted address. We request the site’s home page over HTTPS unless you type http://.

Each check is one request from one location, so a regional outage can be invisible to it. For your own sites, an uptime monitor checks every minute and alerts you when they stop answering.

How do I know if a website is down for everyone or just me?

Enter the site above. Uptimely requests it from its own checker, outside your network, and tells you whether it answered. If it is up for the checker but not for you, the problem is on your side: your connection, your DNS resolver, a browser extension or an outage in your region.

What does the check actually do?

It resolves the site's name, connects to its server on the standard web port and requests the home page, following up to five redirects. It reports the HTTP status, how long the server took to answer, and the HTTPS certificate's expiry and trust. It does not log in, run JavaScript or load the rest of the page.

Is the check free and does it need an account?

It is free and needs no account. One address can run 30 checks a minute, and a result is reused for up to a minute so a busy site is not flooded with checks.

Can I check a site from a script or an AI agent?

Yes. GET https://getuptimely.com/api/tools/check?url=example.com returns the same check as JSON, or as Markdown with the header Accept: text/markdown. No API key is needed.
