The generous free tier: 50 monitors at 5-minute checks, no card. Compare if you want more raw monitors than anyone gives away — or 1-minute checks without paying for them.
Uptimely vs the alternatives
Honest, dated comparisons against the products people actually weigh Uptimely against. Every competitor figure is quoted from that company’s own published pricing or documentation, with the date it was read printed on the page — and where a competitor is better, each page says so rather than leaving it out.
Not down to two yet? Start with the alternatives roundup — it says when to pick each of these instead.
Some comparisons touch certificate expiry checks. SSL certificate monitoring shows how Uptimely’s SSL Certificate monitor works.
The closest product to Uptimely in scope — monitoring, on-call and status pages together. Compare if you are deciding between two integrated stacks rather than assembling one.
The open-source platform Uptimely's product behaviour is modelled on. Compare if you are weighing self-hosting the original against a hosted product built on the same feature set.
Being folded into SolarWinds Observability, with a transition period and a read-only account at the end of it. Compare if you got that email and are deciding whether to move.
Free, MIT-licensed and self-hosted, with a large community. Compare if you are happy running the box yourself, or if you have outgrown single-user access and want an API.
Deprecated by Freshworks — free accounts were disabled on 6 March 2026 and free-tier data was deleted after 4 June 2026. Compare if you are still looking for where to land.
The category-defining status page, and communication only — it broadcasts status, it does not check anything. Compare if you are pricing a status page and a monitor separately.
Code-first synthetic monitoring: Playwright browser checks that live in your repository, priced by check run. Compare if you are weighing deep test automation against always-on uptime cover.
A long-running uptime monitor with a wide check catalogue — page speed, SSL, domain and server tests — and testing from 30 countries. Compare if breadth of check types matters more than an operations layer.
Incident response at enterprise depth — schedules, escalation, workflows, governance — priced per user, and it runs no checks of its own. Compare if you are pricing a monitor and a pager separately.
An independent site-health monitor with the widest check catalogue here — broken links, mixed content, sitemaps, Lighthouse audits — and every outage confirmed from a second location. Compare if breadth of checks is the point.
Atlassian's alerting and on-call product, no longer sold and shutting down on April 5th, 2027, with Jira Service Management as the path Atlassian built for its customers. Compare if you are deciding where to go instead.
Grafana's on-call tool. The open-source edition was archived on March 24, 2026, and development continues in Grafana Cloud IRM, free for 3 active IRM users. Compare if you self-hosted OnCall and need a new home.
Already migrating?
Two of these migrations are happening whether or not the customer asked for them. These guides are the practical half — what maps to what, what you gain, and what Uptimely does not do — rather than the argument for choosing.
Switching from Pingdom to Uptimely
Three facts from SolarWinds' migration documentation shape every decision here. Your Pingdom account transitions to a read-only state at the end of the transition period. Historical monitoring data is not moved over as part of the migration — it stays in that read-only account. And text message or SMS alerts are not currently available in SolarWinds Observability. Whichever product you land on, the first job is the same: export the history you need while the account still lets you.
Switching from Freshping to Uptimely
Freshworks published a proper deprecation notice rather than going quiet, which is worth crediting, but the dates have passed. Free accounts were disabled on 6 March 2026 and the free-tier export window closed on 4 June 2026, with paid accounts' data deleted 90 days after the end of their term. Freshworks has offered no replacement product. If you can still sign in, export first; if you cannot, you are rebuilding from your own notes, and the good news is that a monitor is a URL and an interval.
Switching from Opsgenie to Uptimely
Opsgenie's end of sale was Jun 4, 2025. Existing customers can keep using it until April 5th, 2027; after that Atlassian says Opsgenie will be shut down, the product will no longer be accessible, and data that has not been moved will be deleted, though you can still download your data. If you move to Jira Service Management instead, the table on Atlassian's feature-changes page lists heartbeats as available only in Premium and Enterprise there, so a team that relies on heartbeats on a lower plan has a decision to make either way.
Uptimely's Free plan has 10 monitors, 1 status page and 1-minute checks, with no credit card. Pro comes with a 14-day free trial.
